RUN TOMO for FRIENDLY COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN 2024
Amid
the complex challenges in the global economy, politics, and society, mental
health issues are becoming increasingly prominent.
In
Malaysia, mental health has emerged as the second largest health concern (only
after heart disease). The 2023 National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS)
report revealed that one million Malaysians aged 15 and above suffer from
depression.
Mental health problems not only affect individual well-being and quality of life but also result in significant societal costs. Mental illnesses can lead to broken relationships, decreased work productivity, and even severe consequences such as suicide. Therefore, addressing mental health and promoting mental well-being has become an urgent social need.
We
believe that true health includes mental health, which begins with
creating a supportive environment.
Together, we can build a
connected, supportive, compassionate, and healthy community.
